Protection by Technical/Institutional Management
Article 6
- Member's personal information is protected with a password. Each Member alone knows his or her member account password, and knowing the password each Member can confirm or make changes in personal information. Members are prohibited, therefore, to disclose their passwords to third parties. TJF advises Members, after finishing and logging out of the site, to quit their web browser. Members should be sure to follow that procedure especially when using a computer shared with other persons or when accessing the site via a public computer to avoid the risk of having personal information acquired by another person.
- For this site, the number of staff members handling personal information is minimized and those in charge are thoroughly educated to strictly abide by law concerning personal information so that any leakage of information by a staff member can be prevented in advance. After checking laws and regulations to be observed and making sure if staff members in charge follow them, if any problem were found, legal procedures and corrective action would be taken.
- TJF is committed to protecting the security of personal information, and takes preventive measures to protect Member personal information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, leakage, etc. If any problem is found, TJF will take legal procedures and corrective action as deemed necessary.
Possession and Discard of Personal Information
Article 7
As long as Members receive the Services, their personal information will be kept at this site and be used to provide the Services. If Members either delete their IDs (email addresses) following the procedure of access, correction, and deletion of personal information, or submit a notice of withdrawal, their personal information stored there will be irretrievably deleted from the database. When TJF expels a Member, however, that Member's personal information will be stored during the period of provision of the Services.
